Curriculum vitae: Theory & Practice

Hello I am Uwe. Pipe fitter, engineer for technical building equipment, husky farmer, diver, mountaineer and climber. Nature lover. 

I'm not a pure theorist. I like to work with my hands. I can lay pipes. Work with stones, concrete and wood and install electrical systems. 

In 2010 I moved to Norway and run a husky farm with guest house. The farm is somewhere in nowhere.

In summer it's my ever-bright green oasis.

In the winter - during the polar night - there is enough snow to make tours with the huskies through the moorland. (My husky farm is located on the Lofoten / Vesterålen. Here you can find more information: www.husky-andoy.com.) 

Such a farm has surprisingly much to do with building. You can't even imagine how much I have built and repaired here on the farm. 

So I'm not a fancy engineer in a suit, sitting in his office and not getting dirty.  My work outfit has instead of pinstripes mostly reflective stripes so that you can see me well from a distance.
